Carriage

Privacy policy

Last updated October 17, 2026.

Carriage is a writing app. What you write is yours, and we don't collect any of it.

What we collect

Nothing. Carriage has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We don't run servers that receive your writing or information about how you use the app.

Where your writing lives

Your pages are stored on your device. If you use iCloud, they also sync through your own private iCloud account, which Apple operates under its own privacy policy; we can't read them. If you turn on "Keep a Markdown copy in Files", Carriage also writes a copy of each page to your iCloud Drive or to your device's Files app.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details.

Crash reports

iOS may give Carriage reports about crashes or slowdowns. They stay on your device. You can choose to share them from Settings › About; nothing is sent unless you do.

Focus

If you add Carriage's Focus Filter, iOS tells Carriage when that Focus turns on or off, so it can clear the screen. That information stays on your device.

Children

Carriage collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
